Ok, that was hilarious. Crampon. What did you think a Crampon was Joey? Hmm. Shoot, where are my notes, the thing went on for an hour and I had all these questions.
Kenny and a bathroom scale as a Valentine’s gift has to be a classic. If I run into him 50 years from now I will still think, “this dude gave a bathroom scale as a Valentine’s gift.”
Wait, with a little googling I found it:
Kenny was in trouble. He forgot Valentine’s Day. His wife was
really pissed.
She told him “Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the
driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!”
The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke
up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box
gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway.
Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought
the box back in the house.
She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
Kenny has been missing since Friday.

Problem is, I still don’t understand the problem with it. I mean, I UNDERSTAND and wouldn’t do it again (honest to God I wouldn’t!) but … Never mind. (BTW we still have the scale. And it’s 5lbs off.)

I had this whole thing about gift giving explained to me by a member of the fairer sex long ago. I think it might have been right after I had a cookbook bounced off my head.
Valentine’s gifts carry big messages. They should never be “useful”. Here are a couple of subliminal messages that useful gifts convey if given on VD day.
Vacuum Cleaner: you are a slob.
Cookbook: you can’t cook.
Any kind of kitchen appliance: you can’t cook, maybe this will help.
Bathroom Scale: you’re fat and getting fatter.
Ice Scraper: I’m tired of scraping your car off.
I think I can come up with similar subliminal messages for just about anything useful. I stick to flowers and earrings. For Christmas some useful gifts can be put under the tree but a bathroom scale or a vacuum cleaner should never make the cut. May as well put a gym membership under there if you really want to die.
