Try as I may, I can’t come up with a good punchline, but I did get an excellent meal out of it!
The Surf and Turf Burger at the Yard House in Lynnfield totally hit the spot during “Mommy and Daddy really need an evening out alone” night on Saturday. Check out those chunks of lobster! So good.
The Spicy Tuna Roll was pretty unbelievable too. This photo doesn’t do it justice as we’d already ripped into it a bit, but it was huge and super yummy!
Good times, good eats….and the beer isn’t so bad either.
There is a Yard House 100 feet from my lab here at Fenway Park and the SPicy Tuna with those edamame soybeans underneath I always order. At first havin 2 brazillion beers on tap skeeved me out because what happens when you order the one that hasn’t been pulled in three weeks? Am I drinking the beer that has been sitting in the plastic line that goes into the basement? But they swear on a stack of bibles that the system does a blowback or super duper tapping procedure and the beer does seem to taste pretty good.
They no longer sell actual yards of ale because the clientele around here is too out of control and break them. We just can’t have nice things. I am not missing them because on my second yard finishing off I slid about a pint right into my face. At least my staff thought it was pretty funny.
A moose and a lobster walk into a bar in Maine. No joke, happens all the time. Cows don’t like to hang with lobsters. At least not in bars.

In defense of the raucous Fenway crowd, those yards are pretty easy to drop and break…I mean, not that I would know…but, I’m guessing so. They’re awfully heavy…I mean, they look heavy 🙂 I miss working at Fenway.
