I’m not saying I’m a creative genius but I sure as fuck have the messy desk thing down pat.

I’m pretty good at the messy desk thing too, and I like to think I’m creative (or maybe I’m just delusional). Anyway, I am going to share this link as justification of my messy work area! Unfortunately, the article doesn’t seem to solidly prove the direction of causality in this case, beyond mere speculation. Maybe creative people just tend to be messy, and cleaning up their (our?) desks would not interfere with creativity at all… But I think I’ll stick with the argument that messy desks encourage creativity. It’s more convenient.

I’d have to agree…totally messy and creative! And yes, I feel justified as well, phew!

Wait until you clean it up and then you won’t be able to find anything – during inspection times USAF they had us clean all our desks up – then the Inspector General Inspector asked my boss then looks like you guys don’ have much work to do…(You know too clean)! But not overflowing either something in the middle:-)
