Interesting ~ the gazebo looking structure below Sherman cottage and looks like a long low structure as well. I wonder if that structure was replaced with the building that was once was the garage along nautilus rd. Or is the gazebo on that structure? I hope someone knows! Given the fast moving water in that creek those boats must have been a handfull. Would love to see any other old pics of Bass Rocks Rd. Thanks for these great posts 🙂

Is the bridge up by the beach club in this picture??

It is. Originally that was the main foot bridge. The one used now came later and at one time they were both in use at the same time.

it shows the “old” bridge and a building on what we called “pot rock”. growing up….farther down from the current bridge- no building or bridge there now-

The Gazebo-like building, no sidewalk or rail, unpaved road, dory’s in the creek, missing one footbridge.

Reminds me of all the times going out to good harbor with friends and family listening to radio to this song and special times around cape. As you know the music is what I really like to share.
The song is from 1963 where were you and do you remember this? Enjoy – There is big connection of this song to MA timeline. 🙂

The house on the rocks is already there, however it’s got a deck all around. Things pretty much look the same beach wise tho!

I think Vicki that the Sherman House was also aptly nicknamed the “Birdcage” house because of the all around decks.
