My brother was a Gloucester boy and former Navy diver who went on to work as a commercial diver, including full suit and hard helmet deep dives. He worked out of New Bedford. He was very proud to have made deep dives on the Andrea Doria salvage team. He died in a diving accident. The Diving Locker Museum is a wonderful opportunity for people to learn about the fascinating history of diving and diving apparatus and the dangers that commercial divers sometimes have to encounter to get the job done. My brother would have loved it!

Dan Tremblay and Paul Harling operate the Diving Locker Museum every day but Thursday. Dan is there weekends and holidays. We’ve added a new 5 min “Gloucestermen” film which is remarkable. Both of us are retirees having fun doing this. Stop by anytime. It’s free to all who come. 23 R Harbor Loop.
