Inevitably every vacation no matter where the destination this scene plays out-
We set up on the beach, tip the guy to bring the umbrella and table set-up and settle in for a tough day. We walk to the most remote location early on not wishing to be on top of other folks.
And inevitably, like every single vacation t here will be some couple or family that despite having the entire beach and s ton of empty chairs decides to set themselves up 3 or 4 feet away.
It’s mindblowing. The Mrs just looks at me with that “Really”? look. An entire beach empty, at 3:45PM. Not like the whole beach was crowded all day long and everyone else left but us and them so that’s how it turned out that way. We were basically alone on an island and they decided to get all up in our space.
Must be Midwesterners that don’t get beach ettiquette, no?

Nope. Couldn’t be mid-westerners–we love our space–lots of space–acres of space. And more than 2 families on a beach is considered a very, very crowded beach!

It never fails! And, I’ll never get it. We, too, like our privacy on the beach.
Do these people feel they need to be close to someone else to be safe? Make the beach look busy? Need to make some friends? Annoy someone? YES! They do!

They do that at an empty movie theatre too! Sit right by you, then proceed to talk through the movie like they were in their living room! Did they play frisbee over your heads? Thats always fun!

Nah, It’s just funny how a whole wide open beach. Like wide open, and they plop down 3 feet away. Isn’t that a little strange?

That’s happened to me. I’m in an empty parking lot about to enjoy a delicious sub and someone pulls up right next to me. HORRORS! Humans are the Worst.

Ugh; Joey that happens to me a Good Harbour. I get there at 8:00 am and 15 min later the( line up) as i call are setting up right next to me. Had an issue with one of them one day and she said that is her spot .. really!!
