Time lapse photography taken with a Canon DSLR. A picture was taken every 2 seconds and when you put all the frames together this is the shot. If anyone has any interesting ideas for this type of photography, post a comment and I will try to put it together. Time lapse lends itself to things that are moving such as a construction site, stadium filling up, etc. Look forward to your comments.
Very cool! Is it simply a setting on the camera that does this? How about putting it together into a video, what do you use for that?
I better go read my manual and see if my camera can do this…

Mike, that is just awesome. I’d love to set up an afternoon and have a bunch of GMG readers meet up with us and you could give a demonstration on how you did it.
I know I would love to know.
Thanks so much for the piece!

Great Time lapse! If you check out the harbor master’s cam you can download a time lapse video overlooking the docks there and you can see the sun rise and the boats going up and down with the tide. It’s very cool, but low quality. here’s the link;

Hey Mike!
All of those timelapses are very cool. And they’re done with still photography! Tripod and hours of sitting outside,huh? You do some incredible stuff…always thinking!

Thanks for the comments. Yes I did work at Tadco. Also when the weather breaks a bit I think the bridge on a busy day would make for a cool time lapse.
