Old Town Hall, Gloucester, 1920

The City of Gloucester's first seat of government was at 8 Washington Street. After the city government moved into the new City Hall on Dale Avenue in the 1870's, the old Town Hall became the Forbes School, and is now home the the American Legion, Post 3.

    1. Thanks Kim! I’m back home and in the gallery on Saturdays for now. I thought recovery at home would be leisurely, but that’s not the case. There are many professionals coming to help me, and I really appreciate it. Yesterday I walked 1,000 feet with the rollator. Maybe when Donna visits this week we’ll go 1/4 mile!

  1. Fred as always it’s great to see your photos and history lesson – it’s funny you grow up in the area and know those places that you hung out at the most while missing all there was to see so many sites and places. The history and story behind is classic. One step at at time you’ll do just fine ! Dave 🙂 Kim:-)
