Actually, this is a good time to announce my new photo class.
Rockport Continuing Ed – Spring Courses 2012
Rockport High School
Camera Basics: Intro to Digital Photography
Starting March 13th
5 classes – Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30
$150
This class will introduce people to their digital camera’s functions, basic photography concepts and picture editing. Instruction on how to download images from your camera to the computer and share your photos online will be demonstrated.
Students will be taught the basics of manual photography in order to understand the aperture, shutter speed and ISO functions of their cameras. Photo shoots during class will demonstrate how to photograph people and places, using these manual camera settings to creatively maximize the camera’s potential.
After learning the camera basics of your particular camera you’ll shoot assignments that are tailored to teach you the skills you’ll need to be comfortable with your camera.
How to make online portfolios, implement image storage devices, work with picture editing programs and make photo albums will be demonstrated in detail.
The class will be held in the newly updated, state-of-the-art PC* computer lab in the high school library.* Don’t worry if you are a Mac person, all the instruction is transferable to your computer.
