Elise, Samantha, Pam, Woody, and Franny
Snapshots from Elise and Tucker’s fabulous and fun harvest party, just getting underway. Where earlier the produce had been planted, long tables with tantalizing pot luck offerings were arranged. Bales of hay with planks laid across made for practical seating. An assortment of lights and lanterns illuminated the grounds and the big oak tree was ready for moonlight dancing to begin beneath its boughs.
Favorite photo from the party, Big Sister Franny giving Woody the “pesky little brother look,” with Mom Samantha Goddess, and Samantha’s Mom, Pam Wood.
I had to leave Cedar Rock Gardens early to attend the Cape Ann Plein Air gala, which Catherine covered. Scroll down to see her photos posted earlier today. The Rockport Art Association was overflowing with art enthusiasts, friends, and family and it was so exciting to see beautiful scenes from all around Cape Ann rendered by these master painters. Congratulations to Karen Ristuben, the project manager, and to all who helped make Cape Ann Plein Air a fabulously successful event. I do have to say though that Cape Ann’s own JEFF WEAVER rocked the house with his stunning paintings of the waterfront and downtown.
Thank you Goddess Family for the invitation to come see Tony and Samantha’s super fun Musical Morning at Cape Ann Preschool. Dancing, singing, and with Tony allowing the children to strum his guitar, a wonderful time was had by all!
Many in the community are familiar with Cape Ann Preschool (formerly Lanesville Preschool), but if not, they are located just off Washington Street on Gloucester Avenue, soon to be relocating to 488 Essex Avenue beginning in August. Cape Ann Preschool is a play-based preschool program and, according to their website blend academic school readiness, social skills, and developmentally appropriate learning for children ages 2.9 -6. For more information, visit the Cape Ann Preschool website here.

We are so fortunate to have the absolutely fantastic Bang-A-Song studio, a full service recording studio, located right here in Gloucester. Tony and Samantha Goddess simply could not be sweeter and their daughter Franny is adorable (and budding musician!). Visit Tony’s website for more information about Bang-A-Song.
Last month I pointed out that The Noise Magazine recommended two Gloucester shows for the week of Oct 22, putting us on par with Cambridge (see post here). Well there’s a new Noise issue out and this week they recommend a Rockport show (see here) specifically Amy Black with Megan Burtt at the Old Sloop Coffeehouse. Congrats Amy Black, Megan Burtt, Old Sloop (tickets here) and Rockport! Oh, and I guess I have to congratulate myself on being right again. I picked this show in this post . Here are two more videos from these rising stars, just in case you weren’t convinced by the ones I posted last week.
More Megan Burtt videos here.
Now for tonight, there’s a special treat at Minglewood: Tony & Samantha Goddess will share the stage with KBMG. You don’t get to see all these talented artists sharing the stage very often so take advantage.
See this weekend’s complete live music schedule for Gloucester and Cape Ann here.

Samantha, Franny, and Tony doing fine and having the time of their lives!
Last night we caught the end of The Goddesses’ set at Giuseppe’s. It’s open mic every Wednesday night at Giuseppe’s from 7:30- 10:30. Tony and Sam sound beautiful together and played a variety of fun, funny, and upbeat love songs. I hope to hear more from this rockin’ duo!
Use the GMG search box for more information about Tony and Sam and Tony’s recording studio, Bang a Song, located in downtown Gloucester.
Because Even Our Rock and Roll Buddies Still Think Of Us When They Are Overseas To Play Stadiums!
Love It!!! ROCK ON GODDESSES!!!!
As requested, Tony and I made the rounds of Fenway before the Jenny Dee set with GMG in full effect. We got some great ones from before the show and before sound check, and a couple from on the floor during the Geils set (look at him preening in the JumboTron in the background!). The show really went off without a hitch, and we had a hell of a time!
Chickity Check It!
Thanks for everything! More pictures from the actual set/performance to come (when we get ’em)!
