Video Series where we walk up and down Main Street and try to capture as many retailers as we can and highlight their best gift ideas one a day every day leading up to Christmas.
271 Main St. Gloucester
Here on the blog, I read that there is a seasonal “pop-up” store on Main Street called Present. However, I couldn’t find any mention of the address, so I headed out with my camera to hunt the store down and shoot it (shoot photos of it, that is). I found it at 271 Main Street:

Oh yeah, remember to come visit us at Present‘s opening tonight! 5pm-9pm 271 Main St. next to Leonardo’s. Great locally-made gifts! Stop in and say “Hi!”.
I spent the weekend with the girlfriends for our annual Girls Only Christmas Party. On the way to the party I made a quick stop at Present on Main Street to pick up their Christmas gifts. We keep a budget of around $10 each and of course I was able to find the perfect gifts and stay on budget. I picked up each of the girls “Happy Clam” thongs for only $12 from Gloucester Oneseas. They loved them! They laughed out loud when they opened the clam shell and found what was inside.
There really isn’t anything better in life than a happy clam now is there?
The calendars are also available online here, and I will send them with a complimentary gift card.
If you’ve been down to Present at 122 Main St., you’ve seen the gorgeous locally-made gifts from several talented artisans. I’m adding the Good Harbor calendar to my Cape Ann calendar, note cards, and prints that are available at the shop. Many of us are adding items throughout the holiday season, so come downtown often and shop locally!

There’s not much worse feeling than waking up and realizing you are that horrible son or daughter that forgot to get your dad a present.
If you are THAT person, fear not. We will be open at the dock to bail your ass out.

I can tell you personally that lobsters as a gift have a huge impact which people do not forget. There isn’t anything where you make as much impact for as little money as lobster.
We will be open Father’s Day, best to call ahead and put in your order and we will put exactly what you want aside for your morning pick-up.

It’s Black Friday and everyone else is “over the bridge” and “up the line” bumping elbows at the malls, but we locals can stay on the island with our wish lists. The pop-up shop(see related Times article) Present has an incredible selection of unique gifts.
Present is a seasonal art collective made up of fifteen local men and women offering a bevy of eclectic fine craft. Living, creating and recycling on Cape Ann are common themes reflected in the goods including bags made from reclaimed sweaters and recycled sailcloth. Look for jingle flounder, lovely wreaths, hand-knit hats, pottery, felted flowers and bowls, fish prints, and photographs inspired by local people and landscapes.
Delightfully unusual wares also include unique prints and collages, hand-dyed clothing printed with seaweed and other found materials, clever clothing and accessories for children, iron-pressed sandwich keepers, hand-knit wire jewelry, beautifully sewn doll clothes, and itty bitty jewels. Present is a great place to shop for pretty things and one-of-a kind gifts and ornaments.
Present is Karen Chapin, Amanda Cook, Jane Cunningham, Jessica Demarjian, Elizabeth Grammas, Frieda Grotjahn, Jill Josephson, Pam Lally, Sharon Lowe, Stephanie Mason Thibodeau, Camilla MacFadyen, Melanie Murray-Brown, Erin and Scott Place, and Mary Rhinelander.
