NICOLE DUCKWORTH FUNDRAISER “DONATE FOR LIFE”
Friends, please consider donating to my friend Nicole Duckworth’s fundraiser. She is running the NEDS Falmouth Road Race on Sunday, August 18th, to raise money and awareness of the need for organ donations. NEDS is an acronym for New England Donor Services. She had a wonderfully successful bake sale to raise funds and any additional donation would be tremendously appreciated. Thank you so much! Please donate here.
Erica is here thanks to her organ donor. Learn more and register online at Register Here

Nicole Duckworth’s Best Granola (And Duckworth’s Re-opening This Thursday Night!)
As you may already be aware, Nicole Duckworth makes the fabulous desserts at Duckworth’s Bistrot–her amazing ‘Death-By-Chocolate’ and ‘Banana Cake’ are two favorites that come to mind immediately. She stopped by with a wonderfully tasty maple-walnut-dried cherry granola, possibly the best ever, along with a sweet thank you note. When she has a spare moment, I’ll ask her if she can share the recipe. Our family thanks you Nicole!

2015 Rocky Neck Polar Plunge
Sarah Grow for the Open Door Food Pantry
With below average temperature and wicked wind, the 2015 Rocky Neck Polar Plunge Open Door Food Pantry Fundraiser was a plunge to remember. Dru, pictured above and below, reports that it wasn’t too bad running towards, or even diving in. The worst was running back to the beach against the bitter biting blast that had picked up during the event, and the fact that he couldn’t feel his feet!
Hats Off and Congratulations to All You Brave Polar-Plunging Souls!

Happy Luau on Niles Beach!
With ukelelists, singing, leis, grass skirts, hula-hoops, an island-style feast, and a fleet of wa’a kaukahis (kids in kayaks)–this was a Niles Beach Sunday not to be missed!
Dawn Sarrouf and Michelle Anderson
Thank you to Dawn and Michelle for inviting me to stay and have a bite of Esme’s wonderful luau birthday feast. John and Dawn prepared the most yummy pulled pork, served on Mandy’s homemade potato rolls, and guests contributed super delicious accompaniments, including the best bean salad, homemade, crunchy coleslaw, and Nicole Duckworth’s to-die-for death-by-chocolate cake.
