THREE RECORDING ARTISTS fill the air with “new” music to start and Honky Tonk Women end the 2013 Bazaar with their performance.

Julie Dougherty
Just released a new “double” c.d. along with an array of other outstanding cd recordings to her name.
She has performed in several states, all over the Northshore and in Nashville . Julie Dougherty is
featured at 11:00 am – 12:30 noon.  A voice like no other female artist in New England.
Julie (2)
Gerry Ryan
First and new cd release several months ago, available for purchase.  He will be playing
with his longtime lead guitarist and bass player, Charlie Ortolani at the bazaar featured
  at 12:30 till 2:00 pm. www.gerryryan.com

Last Minute Block Party Updates – Win Cool Prizes

Here’s a new feature for tomorrow’s (SAT) Downtown Block Party: Win Cool Prizes!

Revised Entertainment Schedule
There have been a couple of minor changes to the entertainment — click here for all entertainment by stage.  Click here for all musical entertainment by time.

Don’t sweat the parking.  I’m always surprised when I hear people complain about parking in Gloucester.  Honestly, I’ve never had trouble finding a parking space — not even during Fiesta.  Last night I went to the Harbor Loop Concert.  I got there after it started on a beautiful summer night in the height of the tourist season when every local hotel is full and what do you know?  I found a parking space on Rogers Street at Harbor Loop!  In fact I had my choice of at least half a dozen free (after 6) spots on Rogers within earshot of the music.  Plus there were plenty of spaces at I4-C2.  So don’t worry about the few Main Street parking spots that are not available during the Block Party.  Trust me.  You won’t have a problem finding a space within a couple minutes walk.

Have you figured out what to do for Father’s Day? (It’s Sunday)

Ok here are some great ideas:

  1. Stuff the kids in the car and take a Sunday drive to Latitude43 for their Classic Car Meet and Honky Tonk BBQ.  They are having pulled pork in the smoker and smokin’ hot Johnny Carwash beating out classic 60’s surf songs and rockabilly.
  2. Linda Amero Trio at Captain Carlo’s
  3. Brunch at Alchemy with Flynn Cohen & Friends
  4. Brunch at Seaward Inn with Julie Dougherty

That’s 4 ideas from 11am – 3pm.  10 more choices after 3pm and 14 choices TODAY (Sat)! Check out the full list here.

Get out and enjoy family, friends, and some great music on Cape Ann.
