Thank you to Mayor Romeo Theken, Pauline Bresnahan, and Captain Steve Douglass for a super fun tour of Gloucester Harbor this morning. A tour of Gloucester’s harbor aboard the M/V Lady Gillian is a fantastic way to experience the waterfront. It’s actually a shuttle and costs only ten dollars for an adult ticket, children are five dollars, and kids under six ride for free. You can take the round trip, which takes about an hour, or you can ride between destinations, all day long. The Water Shuttle connects Gloucester’s two cultural districts, Harbortown and Rocky Neck, with points of arrival and departure at Maritime Gloucester, The Gloucester House Restaurant, Saint Peter’s Town Landing, and more. Visit the Harbor Tours website here for a map, hours of operation, and tour schedule.

Cole a mate on the Water Shuttle captained by Capt Pete, found a Black Centurion America Express Credit Card, under the deck at the Studio in Rocky Neck. He did not hesitate and rushed up the gang way, and returned the card to a Studio Employee.
The credit card is is the most exclusive and rare card offered by American Express; it is available by invitation only. Reserved for high end clients, this titanium (not plastic) card guarantees extras such as private jet services, personal concierges, business, savings and much more. The cost of the privilege to use this card is $2,500 a year.
The card was returned to the rightful owner, a prominent Gloucester resident.
Cole, I applaud you on your integrity and instilling my confidence in our young generation.
I met Kitty Beer on the Water Shuttle, she is an author who has published “Human Scale” Fiction – about Boston in 2062. where it is mostly under water. She also wrote “What Love Can’t Do” another fiction about portrayal of the consequences of global warming.
Harbor Tours provides a tour of six Lighthouse tour on Cape Ann, (Ten Pound Island, Eastern Point, Straitsmouth, Thacher and Annisquam Lighthouses). The tour is far more; it is narrated by Captain Donald Steele; who gives the history of Cape Ann and the many points of interest; you seethe many islands along the coast line, local and private beaches, and some celebrities’ homes along the shore. As a Gloucester native he tells stories of the many storms, that occurred along the rough coast line of Cape Ann.
The tour is a must for locals and Gloucester visitors. In the slideshow you will see the many delighted faces of people on the tour that I went on this past weekend.
