GMG Alternative Energy Series: Elizabeth McLindon Is Reducing Her Carbon Footprint While Saving Money With Her Cazeault Solar Energy Install
Elizabeth is actually cash flow positive after you account for all of the incentives,State and Federal tax breaks and Mass Solar Loan Program. Her system in just two months which have been particularly cloudy and rainy have exceeded projections by 14%.
She chose born and raised Gloucesterite Tim Sanborn’s Cazeault Solar and Home and has nothing but great things to say about the process and the results.

GMG Alternative Energy Series- One Year With Cazeault Solar Energy: Sash Ludwig and Craig Dulong From Lanesville
In this video we talk to Sash Ludwig and Craig Dulong about their real world financial experience and results after the one year anniversary of having life long Gloucester Resident Tim Sanborn’s Cazeault Solar installed at their home in Lanesville.
Call to talk to Tim Sanborn From Cazeault Solar Home at 978-281-4625 He’s local and he’s a straight shooter.
This is the Solar Panel Design Tim Came Up With For Sash and Craig’s House-
Actual chart of Sash and Craig’s energy production using Cazeault Solar which produced more electricity than they consumed over this past year-
They actually get checks for their solar production in addition to having not paying for electricity over the course of the year. Cazeault Solar estimations of what their system would produce were actually conservative and the energy produced was 13% more than they had estimated when they worked up the numbers. They beat the estimates by 13%

Gloucester’s Tim Sanborn Owns Cazeault Solar & Home and Explains How Solar Is A Complete No-Brainer Investment
Also Sash wanted to add-
It was great to finally meet you in person. You do such good work in and for the community!
I regret that what I did not say about Tim was that although we wanted solar, we bought Tim. It was Tim that sold us- we already knew we wanted the system but it was his integrity, transparency, enthusiasm and knowledge that convinced us to go with Tim and Cazault. It was the best decision we could have made because not only has he continued to service us and our system but we have become friends and I want to introduce him to as many people as possible to get more solar systems going on Cape Ann. It is where we need to be!
In reflection of the piece you shot I hope that was conveyed- that was the most important thing I wanted to say and somehow we got off course.
Gloucester’s Tim Sanborn Owns Cazeault Solar & Home and Explains How Solar Is A Complete No-Brainer Investment
Tim Breaks down the crazy amount of State and Federal Tax credits and SREC’s available which has Solar paying for itself within 3 or 4 years and after that actually puts money in your pocket.
Solar is now at a point where not only does it make financial sense, it’s actually one of the best investments you can make, paying you back a return!
Tim Graduated from Gloucester High School in 1971 where he was the captain of the football team and the company that he owns Cazeault Solar and Home did roughly 80 installs on the North Shore (a majority of which were on Cape Ann) last year alone.
Call to talk to Tim at 978-281-4625 He’s local and he’s a straight shooter.

I can build you an android app with many different types of features. I don’t build Apple iOS Apps. Here are some of the types of features that you can have in your very own app that people can download and use on their phone or android tablet to access your content.
- About Feature- The About feature is used to display information about yourself, your company and/or your app. You can show information such as your name, title, description, and links to various sites where your users can find out more!
- Audio Player Feature- The Audio Player Feature allows you to play audio files within the application.
- Contact Feature- Contact features are designed to make it easy for users of your app to get in touch with you. You can decide what contact details to make available, but for the best results, give your users as many choices as possible. Choose from Phone, Email, Website and Address – each is interactive! Users can also easily add your information to their contacts with a single click.
- Email Feature- The Email feature is used to initiate an email message using the end user’s chosen email client with a specific email address, and optional subject and text. This allows users to initiate an email with a single click.
- Facebook Feature- The Facebook feature lets you easily embed a mobile-friendly Facebook page into your app.
- Map Feature- The Map feature lets you display your locations on an interactive map. Your users can then see your address, nearby locations, and even get directions and navigation to your business.
- Phone Feature- The Phone feature is used to display the phone dialer (if available) filled in with a specific telephone number. This allows users to contact you with a single click.
- Photo Gallery Feature- Phone gallery features allow you to include photos in your app.
- Podcast Feature- The Podcast feature displays an iTunes Podcast RSS 2.0 feed in your app. It supports streaming audio over the network and downloading episodes for playback offline.
- Twitter Feature- The Twitter feature allows you to display one of three different twitter timelines. You can choose to: display a specific twitter user’s timeline, a timeline from a list, or a timeline based on a search of the most recent public tweets.
- Website Feature- The Website feature is used to display the contents of a website in your application. It is one of the simplest activities, yet it’s ability to display web content makes it very powerful.
I just updated the Good Morning Gloucester Android App with several new features. Get the GMG App for free here

An Icon Of The Gloucester Waterfront Is Retiring After 34 Plus Years- Peter Haskell At Rose’s Marine
There will be an open house at Rose’s to wish Pete well in his retirement Thursday and Friday from 7AM-5PM.
Saying that Rose’s is one of the most integral parts of the Gloucester waterfront and that Pete along with Marty and Frank Rose have been there from the beginning is absolutely without question no exaggeration. Of course Rose’s will continue on just fine when Pete retires but the knowledge base he takes with him is a treasure. I can say from the thirty plus years I’ve walked through those doors, the guys like Rusty, Frank, Frank, Pete and Marty have never once failed to execute and get our business up and running and all with a positive friendly attitude. An icon from the Gloucester waterfront has earned his retirement, best of luck to you Pete, we all wish you the best that life has to offer in retirement!

Look and look again: The HarborWalk Fishermen’s Wharf exhibit is deeply channeled, joining discussion with fine art, business and community, wharf and sea.

Look and look again: The spiffed up HarborWalk Fishermen’s Wharf exhibit is deeply channeled–joining fine art and discussion, business and community, wharf and sea. Keep in mind that the installation is a work-in-progress. Look for updates and notices of an official unveiling!
Back in 2010, detailed information panels along Fishermen’s Wharf were created by Mark McDonough, Vito Giacalone, Peter Prybot and Joey Ciaramitaro. The panels were installed along the Giacalone’s wall, between businesses and at the water’s edge. The content, collaborative spirit and contemporary reporting impacted the HarborWalk design. Cambridge Seven Associates, architects for the HarborWalk, were fans. Connections were encouraged. Two HarborWalk story posts (formerly described as Story Moments) were sited at each end: Fishing Today HarborWalk Story Post #5 and Lobstering HarborWalk Story Post #4. Pretty much everybody hoped the signs would be cared for and this outdoor channel would remain.
Thanks to bright sunshine, the panels along Fishermen’s Wharf deteriorated. Some of the fabulous content disappeared. Guess what? Signs are temporary and can be re-visited.
New signs were designed, content edited and updated, and the display taken to a new level with support of the City. Matt Coogan, Senior Planner Community Development, directed the project, working with the original authors and team. Cambridge Seven Associates designed the panels. The addition of fine art photography, drawings and design spiffed up the already museum quality display. Fine art by Joey Ciaramitaro, Marty Luster, Paul Frontiero and others are something else to celebrate this week!
Saunter by. More stories to come. Worth repeating: the exhibit is still a work in progress. It’s not 100% live…yet!

Just back from the last vacation days of the year. Hitting the ground running with a little site redesign to try to improve load times and make things less messy up at the top.
First things first, I had to let go of the slider up at the top.
I was in love with the idea of the slider and actually paid for a custom WordPress design which allowed for it but after having it for about a year I just can’t deny that it is distracting and added to load times.
So poof, it’s gone.
Secondly I changed the theme to allow for a full width scalable format meaning that our contributors can now post larger photos and videos and the blog will detect what size your monitor is and adjust accordingly.
Thirdly, the Navigation buttons are now implemented and stickied at the top of the blog which should allow you to find your way around much more easily. All thanks for our awesome new navigation buttons go to James at Cape Ann Giclee who made them for us.
So in the past couple months, I launched www.capeanneats.com, www.capeannhome.wordpress.com, www.capeannwellness.com, built a new GMG Android App, implemented James’s awesome Cape Ann Arts Calendar, cleaned up the navigation with James’ help, got rid of the slider to improve load times, and increased the blog from a fixed width to a larger format scalable width to display photos and videos larger.
Rest on our laurels after 7 and a half years? Aw, Hellll Nooo.
Keep on pushing baby!
and guess what? we’ve got some more stuff up our sleeve
