Some of our neighbors have roses right next to the sidewalk, and I took this photo with my iPhone the other day when it was raining. The two little round drops perched on top of the uppermost petal look like Muppet eyes to me… and the way it curls over is like a mouth. As if the rose were a character from Jim Henson’s imagination…

The crocuses are telling us so…
You can see this incredible lily-filled sanctuary right on Rte. 133. Beautiful!
Here’s my post for Day 119 of the 365 Project. Get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine!
Vibrant colors, sweet fragrance, all summer long. You will be amazed at how long these plants flower.
The beautiful Rosa Rugosa buds will begin to unfold over the next few weeks and the show will be spectacular all along our coastline.
This isn’t a trick with the camera where I would place Madeline two feet in behind these tulips to make them look bigger. These Tulips are freakin ginormous. She looks tiny but is actually in the 75% percentile for height for her age. I’ll have to find out where the Mrs bought them and report back here. I almost remember her saying that she got them at some discount store for next to nothing.
The buds on the Rosa Rugosa are forming and it won’t be long now before these beautiful bushes will be in full bloom all along our coast. Last June 22 I took some pictures of these bushes at Good Harbor Beach and they were full of fragrant blossoms.
