The boys were very appreciative. Thanks Clean Gloucester! Thanks Keep America Beautiful For Funding The Project!

From the Office of Mayor Sefatia Romeo Theken (3PM): As many of you know, the power is out in certain areas of the City. According to National Grid, we still have 3,600 customers without power (21% of our community) but the Gloucester DPW, Police Department, and Fire Department continue to work with National Grid crews around the clock to provide support and restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
We continue to work on clearing downed trees and wires. Be aware of downed limbs and always assume that a downed wire is live: DO NOT touch any wires that have fallen.
Given the widespread extent of the power outages and the uncertainty of whether power will be restored by this evening, it is important that all Gloucester residents either shelter in place or make the appropriate arrangements with family and friends as the temperature is supposed to drop during…

Hey there Strong Moms! In response to the great feedback we received about our new Mom Strong program, we are holding an Open House on November 7th at 7pm at Crossfit Cape Ann!
We will have a question and answer session and a mini workout (10-15 min) to give you an idea of what kinds of things we will be doing. Light refreshments will be served after! You are welcome to bring your baby to familiarize yourself with the set-up and to see how your baby does during the short workout.
We will have a small enclosed area as well as a few pack and plays. You can also bring your own set up for your child.
Please RSVP by Monday, November 6th. We look forward to seeing you there! Questions? Please contact us at email@example.com or find us on Facebook @crossfitcapeanners
Huge thank to the Mayor, the organizing committee, police and fire department, Ringo Tarr, Mass Mudders, Rick Doucette and YMCA Leaders, Sea Cadets, Marshall Farm Stand, Addison Gilbert, Cape Ann Savings Bank, Health Department and loads of volunteers that made the day truly special!
With the big day coming tomorrow, I thought I should hurry up and post some more. The boys get a kick out of these dragons.
Hello! Beautiful Lulu here. Pleased to meet you! I found myself at CAAA when my family had to move and could not keep me. I may be larger in size but don’t let that steer you away, we all know dieting is tricky and I am currently working on my shape with a low fat low calorie food. I can’t help it I am just an older mellow girl who likes to just nap and relax so if you are looking for a companion to share your days lounging around with pick me! I am considered a super senior at 11 years old and my super power is “Zen” because I am so relaxed. I really don’t mind being pet or brushed but I am not a huge fan of being picked up.
I previously lived in a home with another cat and didn’t mind sharing my space. If you’re interested in giving an older girl another shot at a loving forever home stop by and meet me. To see all of the available dogs and cats at the Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter please go to our website: capeannanimalaid.org.
Gloucester schools and school office closed due to after storm power outages , clearing roads, etc
Our friend Joey talks about “no brainers”–things you should consider doing because they are just that good. I consider a visit to Crane Beach and Castle Hill on the Crane Estate as one of those “no brainers”. We visited over the weekend on a gorgeous day. Oddly, we weren’t the only ones thinking in a similar manner because there were many many vehicles in both parking lots. People and horses enjoying the beauty of the day and their surroundings. Unless you are a member of The Trustees.org ($67 family membership / $47 individual annually for access to ALL Trustee reservations, you pay $10 to access the beach AND Castle Hill on the Estate! It was $10 well spent for us.
As you can see, there was a standing piece of driftwood that made an excellent staging area for CB and her “sista” from New Yawk. If you peek into the looking glass, you can get an idea of what the beach looked like, but I figure many of you already have a handle on that. Except this beach seems to often have horses on it and I haven’t seen that on other beaches in the area, so it’s definitely for horse lovers.
The Estate grounds offer many many photographic opportunities, as well as options for a brisk walk. Tours are offered and I saw some dressed in period costume at the mansion.
One single sawbuck. Priceless beauty.
