  • Our property backs up to conservation land and coyotes are always around. For this reason we feed + walk our pup for the last time by sunset, and after dark use pet pee pads. It is just not worth the risk or stress for us to take our chances anymore. No chance of a coyote attack if you are not out there! 😀 Of course we only need to do this during the darker winter months, and it helps that our pup is pee pad trained.

Coyotes are around during daylight too, but we are very careful and always with our pup. We also have 50′ long leashes we use in our yard so she can run but still be safely with us. Our neighbor saw a coyote lurking and crouching near us while we were throwing balls in our back yard at 10am one day, so we are very alert and take every precaution.
