    When we see our children with wide open eyes
    We search our minds of just what they can see
    Do they view a picture of Life better for you and I
    Such as the making of our country War torn free
    If only we could read the minds of these so young
    On just what their impression of Life really means
    For now they run about and laugh and play
    Though you can see in their eyes their hopes and dreams
    We can also see in the eyes of each child
    The heritage and wisdom of many we have loved
    Although they may have passed this earthly life
    You can see in each child’s eye’s inheritance of heaven above
    We must treasure our young and be their guides
    To love and support them in all the challenges they seek
    Our earthly time is in reality but a blink of an eye
    Share with them each goal in life that they may see
