Poor tired bird. Did your friend say how long it stayed with them? Last summer a New England Aquarium whale watch boat was joined by a brown booby (a rarity this far north, normally found in the tropics). It stayed on the boat all the way into Boston harbor. There are some wonderful photos of it on their website.

Awwww! Do they venture inshore? Don’t think I’ve seen one, but the I’m only a seasonal resident.
