Eleanor White Has Some Nice Things To Say

Dear Good Morning Gloucester:  Learned about this site just a short time ago from a dear friend, and former resident of Gloucester, here in the Monterey Bay area.  I’m hooked on this publication now,  and can’t wait for your publication to hit my mailbox daily.

I grew up in North Andover, Mass and spent many summers with a dear friend and her family in Wingaersheek Beach.  Can’t stop thinking about the great times I spent there.

Is the Paper House still standing!!!  Oh, how I loved that tour 🙂

Seeing the photos and reading the stories brings me back and makes me smile.

Thank you for your publication and reminding me how beautiful life was in paradise.

Pebble Beach, California

  • I hope you made it to Pebble Beach in Rockport as well!

  • Dear Eleanor,
Pebble Beach and Big Sur would be my idea of paradise, at least from December through March. Then I’d want to be right here in beautiful Gloucester for the rest of the year.

  • I grew up in Gloucester and then moved out to Monterey and lived there for over a decade! My two oldest children were raised there; one has lived there all his life. I had visited Monterey Peninsula as a teenager in the 60’s and I knew that if I ever moved away from Gloucester, I would go to Monterey—the West Coast version of my beloved East Coast home. I have been so privileged to have lived in the 2 most beautiful places in the country (IMHO)!

  • Yes the paper house is still standing and open for self guided tours. I also love to visit it with friends.

  • The Paper House stands!

  • Yes, the Paper House is still standing and quite the attraction, Eleanor, – this “uniquely odd” house has even been listed on Roadside America.

  • GMG nation wide and world wide thanks to technology and hard work from those who put it together very hard work when your pooped from a hard day at job (What Sleep)? Love it thanks! 🙂
