The sunrise in the lifting fog at Good Harbor Beach this morning looked at times more like a moonrise.
A lone Snowy Egret was eating and fluffing its feathers and a pair of Whimbrels (at least I think they were Whimbrels) were fishing and bathing along the tide pool edges.

Hi Kim, You really captured the peacefulness of the beach. And the birds are such characters. It’s nice to get a good look at them up close.

Thanks Sue–the birds are always wonderfully fascinating. We are so fortunate to have so many different species that are both resident and migrating through our region

Wow, great shots Kim. I’ll be looking for the dvd. Thank you again.
When I was shooting the sunrise in June there, the sun was coming up near the twin lights.

Thank you Kim. Your photos are absolutely beautiful. Now I remember why we bought a place in Gloucester, instead of somewhere in Florida. We leave in Ohio most of the time 🙂

Florida and Ohio have their own beauty, but I agree Juana, there is nowhere like Gloucester!
