Fish on Fridays

The Fish on Fridays series is a collaboration between Gloucester photographers Kathy Chapman and Marty Luster. Look for various aspects of Gloucester’s centuries-old fishing industry highlighted here on Fridays.

Today starring:

Here is a striper caught off the Cardinal Cushing Villa in Magnolia by Captain Paul Moralli, aboard Cat. Latitude 43 in Gloucester purchased it from Intershell.

The fish was pan seared, skin-on, with bacon, snap peas, corn risotto & crispy fried leeks. This tasty dish was prepared by Chef Mike O’Brien at Lat 43 where it is available in season as a dinner special.

  • Bravo to both Kathy and Marty for the photos and video. Marty’s video was the shortest comprehensive cooking lesson I’ve ever seen. It’s time to go catch some fish so I can practice!

  • the captain is Paul Movalli

  • Thanks for the correction, I should know that, we have photographed him in the past. Only excuse is that my notes were scribbled in low light and the “v” looked like an “r”. I was busy eating the prop. Ummmmmm by the way….
