  1. I’m the person who submitted this clip to GMG — not sure why it cut my comments off. I am a former longtime resident of Cape Ann currently living in Pineville, Louisiana. I filmed and narrated this video about Tina and Dexter while visiting Gloucester earlier this week. I just learned that ten dogs who were at the same shelter as Tina in Manchester, TN were euthanized this morning because the pound was overcrowded — thank God I was able to get Tina out in time and transport her to Gloucester! Please think about rescuing an abandoned animal — states like Louisiana and Tennessee are full of high-kill shelters. Some parishes in Louisiana either have no animal control whatsoever and do nothing for abandoned animals, while others have high-kill shelters with cruel gas chambers to euthanize the animals. Won’t you please consider rescuing an animal in as much as danger as Tina was and giving it a new life on the beaches of Gloucester? Thanks for watching Tina and Dexter’s adventures!

  2. Dexter was adopted from North East Animal Shelter in Salem, MA. They are wonderful there, but if you feel the need to help a dog in a high kill shelter please do there are transports to bring the new family member to you, Just make sure you are dealing with the right people. Tina was saved from Manchester TN. So many beautiful animals are being PTS that could have a loving home. Please people spay/neuter your pets. Adopt DONT shop. Does it really matter that you have that purebred? Our beautiful mixed dogs are full of personality, good with kids people and other dogs.
