Looking through old photos came across a picture of Rick in the first grade and one of me. Rick, so cute, in New Jersey and I look like my hair got caught in a socket. I think my mother curled my hair with rags. That must have been a Somerville, MA thing.

They’re very sweet photos; I have a similar “do” taken about that age. (Toni perms were the rage, and Mother gave it a try. I’m glad she decided hair dressing wasn’t her thing.)

Our 1980’s Somerville hair do’s were pretty Big. I went thru 1 can of Aquanet a week.
