To the editor:
Why is the city of Gloucester, its Waterways Board and some elected officials “hell bent” on establishing a municipal recreational boat “floating marina” in the middle of our harbor in direct competition with existing private, commercial marinas?

I love learning from smart, thoughtful longtime residents like Ron. I have Ron’s book, “An Island No More,” on my bedside table and read it at night. (I just saw a 1940s picture of Capt. Joe Ciaramitaro the other night!) It’s a great read.
