Bob Ryan and his nephew Wood, of Ryan & Wood Distilleries. Bob is mixing their bathtub Knockabout Gin. Nephew Wood, the enforcer, is standing by with his bat to make sure nobody moves in on their territory. They are mixing it up during Fiesta 2012.

Do you think we could win the round the Cape Race in this Tub ?

Don’t know the men, but the spot reminded me of a place on the Crane Estate, near the Great House pool.
Caption that came to mind: “Tap … tap … tap … waitin’ with my bat! Is that bathtub gin ready YET?!”

Fred ALMOST won. He answered the who, and the what, but not the WHERE. They are not participating in Fiesta. Also, we will need a few more funny or original entries before deciding who writes the best caption! 🙂

Kellie, I don’t know if they were in the Horribles parade this year, but in any case, this picture was not taken in Gloucester, but somewhere VERY close by, about a week ago.

Yeas Terry, they were in the Horribles Parade this year, a few floats in front of us with the GMG float. That would have been my answer if I hadn’t been confused by so many big holiday events in one week.

Actually, Fred, though observant, got only 1/2 the “Who”. Dave Wood is in the vacinity, but that is not him pictured. Try to find these iron tubs when you need one. Many are on ocean floor, along with iron radiators, acting as anchors the at the bottom for floats and docks. Thank you to Joe Danna of Conomo Point Antiques for the borowwing of the tub. You can see it outside their shop across from the Red Barrell Pub as you enter Essex. Also thank you to Marshalls Farm Stand for giving us a back up tub if we needed. If you have not been their lately drive by and see what they are doing over there.

And the winner for best caption is…well, it’s a tie between Vicki and Judy B! “Anonymous” will have to take Honorable Mention since it’s hard to congratulate or give a prize to Anonymous. 🙂 The prize is (yes, there is a real prize) a $10 gift card to Starbucks, Target or Jalapeños…Vicki and Judy B, let me know which one you want! You can send me an email via bartlett103@yahoo.com. By the way, the picture was taken at the Manchester 4th of July parade.
