Gorgeous!! Could you tell me where I can buy one of these “Aloha” rose bushes this Spring? I need to have one for my garden.

Dear Kathy, You can try Vintage Gardens mail order in Sebastol California, [http://www.vintagegardens.com/]. They do not ship bushes, but rooted cuttings. See my book Oh Garden of Fresh Possibilities, chapter 14 on growing roses, about how to grow a rose from a cutting. If Vintage Garden does not have any in stock, contact me and I will give you a cutting from mine next spring.

I believe these are the same flowers planted in the parking lot dividers at Assembly Square Marketplace mall in Somerville. I’d always overlooked them until I took notice last week when at the mall – the recent post on the GMG blog about the Aloha rose bushes reminded me. Roses still in bloom and going strong in December…………….
