Only 13 Days Until Santa Arrives in Rockport

Santa arrives by lobster boat in Rockport Harbor on Saturday, December 4th this year. Jolly old Saint Nicholas has been very punctual the past few years keeping to his promise of rounding the jetty at 3:45 PM preceded by the harbormasters with sirens and flashers making way for the jolly large red suited dude.

I have been covering this story for GMG now for three years and if past movements of the rotund one follow past protocol he will land on Bradley Wharf (Motif #1), then make his way to the fire engine for a ride down Bearskin Neck before disembarking to light the Rockport Christmas Tree in Dock Square. Good viewing of the landing can be found around the harbor including the Tuna Wharf. Elves will be handing out hot chocolate and cookies in the square to children of all ages who have been nice and not naughty and Santa will lead the crowd in the singing of some Christmas tunes. Rumor has it that the Cape Ann Jazz Band will also be strolling about the downtown area. They may be able to score some hot chocolate too if they behave.

Wow Joey! Another old logo I designed a “100″ years ago and still here. Many thanks to all in Rockport who choose to continue its use! As opposed to the method the CACC logo was created – this one was hand drawn. Happy Holidays to all!

  3. Your Beautiful work lives on here on Cape Ann H.A.! Even though your a few thousand miles away. Thanks to your creativity! Thanks!
