Olive Spankins Of The Maine Port Authority

The crowd at the Derby was almost as eclectic as the players themselves.  There were some common themes though.  One being tattoos, another being fishnet pantyhose.

Tired of your car? Change the look!

I was in Walgreen’s parking lot a couple of days ago and saw this car. I was curious about the process of getting a car to look like that so I waited for the owner to come back.

Turns out it was Bill Liacano’s wife Alexia’s (from Seaside Graphics) car and she told me how they do it. I asked her if I could (or Joey) could come down when they actually did the process and she said sure. Her car is actually gold so the whole look of the car has changed.  Here’s an example of a company that also does this just to show what they do at Seaside.  Pretty cool!

These guys are good friends of mine and veterans of other Gloucester bands. Many of you will recognize one or more of them from Lil Earl’s, etc. They love what they do, and with a collaborative sense of humor, these musicians  not only have  great talent,  “Slingdaddy” truly entertains the audience.

Slingdaddy” has its first scheduled club performance in Gloucester this Saturday, March 7th at Elliots @ The Blackburn. Please stop in and check it out. In addition to some of the area’s best entertainment, Elliots is also known as having great food served by the best staff.

When Kym (Anne Hathaway) returns to the Buchman family home for the wedding of her sister Rachel, she brings a long history of personal crisis and family conflict along with her. The wedding party’s abundant cast of friends and relations have gathered for an idyllic weekend of feasting, music and love, but Kym—with her black-comic one-liners and knack for bombshell drama—is a catalyst for long-simmering tensions in the family dynamic. Filled with the rich and eclectic characters that have always been a hallmark of Jonathan Demme’s films, Rachel Getting Married paints a strikingly perceptive and sometimes hilarious family portrait.

“A triumph — Demme’s finest work since ‘The Silence Of The Lambs,’ and a movie that tingles with life.” -Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly

“’Rachel Getting Married’ is a masterpiece.” -David Edelstein, New York Magazine
