An oldie from the blog and the poem still holds up I think.
one of the animal pacifists kept telling everyone how harmless the coyote was and then they went into the cage with the coyote and then the coyote lunged at the animal pacifist’s neck just like this supposedly tamed lion did. That would probably be the only more ironic scenario than the one shown in the video below.

FULL VIDEO: Lion Attacks Teacher During a Circus, 16 August 2014 | Lion attacks teacher during circus performance as students watch in horror | RAW VIDEO
Schoolchildren on a day out at the circus were left horrified when their teacher entered the lion’s enclosure to prove the animal wasn’t aggressive – and was savagely attacked before their eyes.
and that my friends is why this guy ain’t going in no cage with any lions or tigers or bears. Oh My.
Any of you coyote lovers wanna try out this little demonstration for the kiddies? Probably be the best lesson on wildlife they’ll ever get.
When adding the tags for this post the first one I wrote was “Stepping On Legos” That would be a great title for a new blog, don’t you think?
Fishing gear at Milk Island. Milk Island’s a cormorant and blackback seagull nesting ground. Lots of of fishing gear washes up on its lengthy gravel bar running north towards Rockport. By August adult blackbacks start cannibalizing their young – grabbing fledglings by the neck and drowning them, dragging them ashore to pull them apart.

Daily Discussion- What Is Proper Etiquette When It Comes To Dogs Barking In Your Neighborhood Throughout The Evening/Night?
I wonder how the thought process goes for dog owners whose dogs are outside and bark throughout the evening and into the night (like non-stop barking).
Do they much like the dog lovers whose dogs jump up on you and get your clothes all filthy think it’s cute when they bark all night outside as well?
You think those dog owners are saying to themselves “Ahhh, that sweet melody of my dog barking away at bunny rabbits in the yard all night, I bet all our neighbors love listening to our dog just as much as we do. Isn’t it just music to your ears and oh so soothing when you’re trying to go to bed. puts me to sleep every time”
I’m not the kind of guy that ever wants to call the po po or animal control on their neighbors. I’d really just like them to realize that there are neighbors out there that just might not appreciate their dog barking all night the way they do.
What are your thoughts on the subject? Have you ever encountered this and how did you handle it? Leave a comment on this post and explain what course of action or non-action you would take.

RE-OPENING THE CAPE ANN MUSEUM with Director RONDA FALOON
Part 2 of 3: illuminating the world’s largest collection of America’s master luminist Fitz Henry Lane
In part 2 of touring the Cape Ann Museum, Director Ronda Faloon shares some of the NEW as we follow along with her. GET READY TO SEE THINGS YOU’VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE.
The Cape Ann Museum’s focus on art and artists is everywhere.
The dramatically redesigned welcome area and exhibition galleries enhance access and connections. There are new windows bringing the outside in. New amenities (welcome desk! coat room! lockers! bathroom!) on the ground floor orient and encourage us to get ready to take a breath, stop and look.
Hundreds of legacy pottery shards with transferred text from the museum’s archives are tucked along four new walls in Diane KW’s new installation, At World’s End- The Story of a Shipwreck.
When the Cape Ann Museum re-opens in August, the world’s largest repository of Gloucester’s very own Fitz Henry Lane collection will be 10x brighter thanks to new installation and lighting design. There’s more to Lane still to be revealed. Thanks to higher resolution images and powerful new media, the museum is producing a state of the art catalogue raissone and research tool, The Complete Works of Fitz Henry Lane, that will glow with close ups, archives, artifacts and stories. Nothing though can take the place of standing close and viewing these beauties in person. As Joey insists, “You have to come see these!”
It’s a GMG mission to make sure everyone understands how amazing this museum is and how fortunate it’s here in Gloucester.

With a world class collection and legacy, its ongoing support of contemporary arts, and robust exhibition schedule the Cape Ann Museum has no problem keeping the experience of art alive and present, and compelling.
It’s where you can come experience something that is not part of everyday life.
Ronda Faloon, Director of the Cape Ann Museum, discusses the museum’s transformation over the past 10 months and gives GMG exclusive access leading up to the grand re-opening. Getting there required long hours and difficult conditions, a 5 million dollar capital campaign and a ten month closure. This stellar collection is shown in even better conditions.
There will be a week of celebratory and special events beginning with the kick-off gala of August 16, 2014, and open to the public Tuesday August 19th. Visit www.capeannmuseum.org for all the details, and sign up for progress updates.
