Just back from a successful engagement at the Copracabana, let’s welcome back Mr.Steve Sadler. Everybody’s favorite sideman, the commodious Mr. S is sure to curl your toenails with his rousing renditions of your favorite bunion bruisers. Joining him will be a new guitarist: Mr. Kevin Belz, Berklee teacher and all around GP. I haven’t played with him yet, but by all accounts, he’s the bees knees. Can’t wait to find out! On drummmms will be that Madhouse® skin pounder, Mr. Roger Brocklebank. Should be quite a nite. Gonna be a hot week so take care of that sunburn. We start at 8 pm for the last time. This all happened last night:
Wicked Dinner at the Seaport Grill
Last night, Janet and I were just served dinner at the Seaport Grill, and next to me at the bar, this guy Steve said: "There’s (F/V) Tuna.com, and they have a fish…a big fish." The bartender, Jessica, added that the National Geographic Wicked Tuna film crew was apparently there. Okay, I have a HUMONGOUS Haddock Fish Taco ($11.95) in front of me, I run out to the Jeep, grab my camera, and go down to the water to take this shot across the water to the State Fish Pier. The NG cameraman is on the left side of the truck, and the new greenhorn crew member is in the center, shoveling ice into the boat. The man way on the right looks to be the film’s crew boss.
This is the large tuna they hoisted up — the "Money Fish." The fat boy weighed in, dressed out, in the mid-700 pounds. The film crew is cranking the cameras for this one, and so is Gloucester’s Tina Greel, second from the left in green. It’s very ironic: Last time we went out for seafood, it was for Annisquam’s "Dinner on the Bridge" over Lobster Cove last summer. As soon as we sat down to our lobster dinner, a fisherman on the float right in front of us hooked up and pulled up a sizable striper, assisted by none other than Tina Greel, who we see here. Only, only in Gloucester!
Here are some of the dishes I’ve enjoyed at the Seaport Grill-

Johnny Arnold Gives Us The Scoop Along With Sweeping Views Of Gloucester’s Working Waterfront-
I knew there were all these doors in the front of the building. What I didn’t know was that they folded away accordion style for an al fresco dining experience overlooking Gloucester Harbor and the working waterfront. The place has been packed. I wish the restaurants downtown could do this like they do on Newbury Street at Sonsie. The closest thing we get are The Block Parties at which we get to see everyone at the tables outside enjoying food and wine in the nice weather.
Fresh Lump Crab, red and green peppers, and bread crumbs. $3.00 beer. Harbor view. I have a feeling The Seaport Grill will be doing some business this summer.

Here’s The Horseshoe Bar-
Pan seared sea scallops over roasted creamed corn with red peppers and jalapenos.
I didn’t even know that the Seaport Grill had opened at Cruiseport. Swung by yesterday for a fantastic lunch.
Hand cut fries tossed with truffle oil, fresh parmesan and parsley. This was so rich it could easily be shared by three people along with your meal. Or made a meal unto itself.
