Pet of the Week-Poly

poly

My name is Poly. I think I can fly!  I am certainly trying hard enough to! I am an affectionate and active girl who is five-month-old.  I think I might be retriever and Terrier.   I have a pretty white-and-cream coat.  I weigh about 20-pounds and will be medium size when I am fully grown. I am residing at the Cape Ann Animal Aid, located at the Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter, Four Paws Lane, Gloucester.  It is so nice here – the shelter is just beautiful and the volunteers and staff are so kind and caring.

I have only one suggestion for you.  I think you should stop by the CAAA and adopt me.  How many dogs do you know are as cute as I am and can fly?!

I hope Poly is in a new home by Christmas! Merry Christmas everyone!

Pet of the Week-Big Puppy

bigpuppy

Hi, my name is Big Puppy.  I am a sweet and affectionate girl who loves to play and snuggle.

I like playing with the other pups here at the Cape Ann Animal Aid (CAAA), located at the Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter in Gloucester.   I weight about 32-pounds, so I will be medium when I am all grown up.   If you would like to know more about me, see photos and learn more about the CAAA please visit: CapeAnnAnimalAid.com

I am looking forward to joining you at obedience class and for adventure outdoors.   I like all the trails and all the wonderful things they have outdoors here at the shelter.  I am so excited about finding a home and a family to love me, well, I get to the point where I can’t even sleep and when I do sleep, I dream about a family spoiling me…I just want my dreams to come true.  Just by looking at me you can tell I am going to be a great dog!

Pet of the Week- Lanister!

Lanister

Hi!  I am looking out the window here at the Cape Ann Animal Aid located at the Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter in Gloucester.

The shelter here is amazing – they have everything and the volunteers and staff are so kind, gentle and caring. Check out our website at: CapeAnnAnimalAid.com

If you have the time and energy for an active pup like me, Lanister; who is a three-month-old, Shepherd mix, stop by and visit me. Yes, pups are a little work, but we give so much back in return.  My siblings and I are so loveable and eager to learn.

The reason why I am looking out the window, the nice volunteer is walking another pup and I want her to come in as I really need a back rub!

Castries Fishermen’s Pier

There was a rather large woman cooking something in a pot off to the right in the picture.  A fire had been set using whatever scraps of wood that were around and the pot set right atop that fire.  Under the fishing boats which were hailed up out omn the dock there were many small dogs playing with each other and some roosters roaming around.  Obviously getting the dogs neutered was not high on the priority list.

Just across the bay were two cruise ships.  Such a striking contrast between the big hulking and modern cruise ships and the very basic fishing boats.
