Hi Joey,
I hope you’re well. My parents are big fans of your blog and I spotted this – attached – today on East 86th Street in Manhattan!  They, Larry and Marilyn Swift, suggested I send it to you.
Enjoy!

The View From My Studio- Marty Morgan

As part of our “Share your Work View” series Potter Marty Morgan submits this view-

Check out Marty’s work here

Hi Joey,

This view is constantly changing. The buffleheads are still here at high tide, but I’m sure they’ll be leaving soon. When the tide is out we get egrets feeding in the little trickle of water left. Last night I was finishing glazing  some bowls when the sky turned these amazing colors – wish I could create them on my pots!

"Splash of Sunrise" From Skip Montello

Hi Joey,

I caught this “Splash of Sunrise” on the wet rocks at Back Beach as the sun lifted above the horizon and quickly hid behind the waiting clouds. Timing was everything as the light was lost after a minute or so.

Ravenswood Woodpecker From Bill O’Connor

Hi Joey,

My son and I took a walk through The Trustees of Reservations’ Ravenswood Park today and we came across this woodpecker that was eating the snow.  I thought it was pretty funny because I’ve never seen this behavior from a bird, but it makes better sense than having to fly to the nearest water supply to have a drink!

Enjoy!

Summer Black and Whites From Bill Langer

Hi Joey,
Wow, everyone is having fun with black and white these days — I’ve always loved B&W so I went ahead and spent the dough on NIK Silver Efex, and boy, is it great! Nothing like it for spectacular skies! Here are three pix that I took a couple of summers ago, and just converted.
All the best, Bill
