For Those Of You Who Use Twitter a Client Other Than The Official Twitter App…

Which One Do You Use?

I use tweetcaster on my mobile devices and tweetdeck on my desktop computer. For some reason the official twitter apps hide the great “Retweet with comment” option I find so useful. For sharing stuff from the blog it lets me edit the tweet to include shoutouts to the people mentioned I the post.

My guess is that the unofficial Twitter clients provide so much more functionality that if the official twitter app offered those options it would probably tax the Twitter servers so much that it would bring down the system.

Anyway that’s my skeptical guess.

TweetDeck is probably the most widely used Twitter app (and it’s a good one), but I prefer Twitter for Mac (developed by Twitter) for its simplicity and ease of managing multiple Twitter accounts. Don’t know if there’s a Wintel version.
