Since Gloucester had its own Sea Serpent, I thought it appropriate to post this news story from New Jersey. It’s a scary serpent-like monster, but not even close to the size of ours (or as good looking). This bloody photo went viral on the internet. I’ll let you draw your own conclusions and ID it in the comments box:

Not sure what that is but I can tell you that This Sista Felicia will not be cooking anything looking like that….it makes Octopus look like a runway model
Yuck! We get lamprey here in Lake Michigan, but they’re NOTHING like that! They’re considered an invasive species in the Great Lakes.
“According to the United State Geological Survey, the sea lamprey is a parasitic feeder that attaches itself to fish to suck out fluids and tissues for its food. The animals are found all along the Atlantic Coast from Canada south to Florida. Although it’s a saltwater creature, it generally swims up freshwater rivers to reproduce.” Sea Lamprey is a delicacy in Great Britain and in Portugal. It was specially prepared for Queen Elizabeth at her coronation by the Royal Navy.
