Julia Garrison’s New Take on Her Shop & Studio!

Julia Garrison of the Sarah Elizabeth Shop in Rockport recently updated the shop’s interior and displays. I love the way the black storage/display pieces complement the antique acorn press. Check it out at 10 Whistlestop Mall in Rockport. And if you can’t make it to Rockport, you can see Julia’s line at www.sarah-elizabeth-shop.com. By the way, the shop’s previous owner was the very talented Isabel Natti. Joey did an interview with her before she passed away, which you can find through this link.

I see you’re putting your new NEX-5 to good use. Fantastic photos Sara! and congrats to Julia!

    • S.D. Kelly says:

Thanks Joey! I owe my NEX-5 (and my love for it) to you! Your recommendations really, really helped give me a starting point — and ending point, as it turns out — to figuring out what I wanted out of a camera. And it made me feel like I could do justice to Julia’s renovated shop.

  3. Karen says:

    Beautiful pictoral story.

  4. Wow Julia! These prints are stunning and the shop looks great. Also the photos of the store are wonderful.

  5. Julia Garrison says:

Thanks Sarah! it was a delight having you in my shop as always. Love your style and your opinions!

Sarah, beautiful job showing Julia’s success in renovating the shop without losing any of the quirky charm. I want me one of them cameras!

    • S.D. Kelly says:

Thanks Mary. And yes, you need to get one of these cameras pronto. They’re so easy to use I can figure out the settings and that’s saying something. And if you’re more along the spectrum to knowing what you’re doing in the world of photography, you can override the dummy settings to change up them manually, so even the pros rate this camera pretty highly. (I mean, at least the pros who wrote reviews that I actually read, which was no doubt a very small percentage…have I rambled enough?)

Hope that your artworks will be featured in Gloucester stores – maybe the Cape Ann Museum.
    Lovely work!

  8. Rebecca says:

The shop looks great! Can’t wait to see it in person!
