Brooks Williams at Old Sloop Coffeehouse February 15 with Danielle Miraglia

Old Sloop Coffeehouse will present a performance by Brooks Williams  on Friday, February 15, at 7:30 PM at the handicap-accessible First Congregational Church of Rockport, 12 School St, with Danielle Miraglia opening.  Ranked one of the Top 100 Acoustic Guitarists, singer-songwriter Brooks Williams writes groove-laden songs and delivers them with an easy-going vocal style and monstrous guitar chops.  Walking the line between blues and Americana, Williams has worked stages worldwide for over 25 years, amassing a staggering back-catalogue of songs, recordings and tales.  With nearly 20 CDs to his name – and more on the way – this Statesboro Georgia native is, according to americanaUK, “impossible not to like.”  Danielle Miraglia comes armed with a strong steady thumb on an old Gibson, an infectious stomp-box rhythm and harmonica.  Her tunes range from heart-felt to socially conscious and will move both your heart and hips.  Danielle’s latest release “Box of Troubles” a bare-bones expression of all these attributes, explores the highs and lows that life has to offer and has already received rave reviews.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 from the coffeehouse web site at oldsloopcoffeehouse.org, at Gloucester Music, and at Toad Hall Bookstore in Rockport.  The suggested donation at the door is $12 for adults, $7 for those 65 and older, $5 for those younger than 18, and $24 for a family.
