Hi Joey C,
Rockport merchants are excited to share with you news about our upcoming night event being held, Friday, Dec 7th. This event began 4 years ago with only 10 participating shops and has grown to include 56 businesses this year!
On Friday, Dec. 7, holiday shopping gets off to a festive start at 4 PM, with more then 56 downtown Rockport merchants open and offering exclusive promotions, discounts, raffles and give-a-ways through 8 p.m. With light refreshments from wine to hot apple cider and munchies, shoppers will enjoy Christmas cheer with a unique gift-buying experience while shopping Rockport’s tree-lined streets. By Thanksgiving, Rockport will be transformed from the beach town it is known as, to a small quaint New England village, straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting. The customary elimination of in-town parking meters are replaced with miniature Christmas trees secured atop poles, illuminating the streets below. It is an enchanting site to gaze up Main Street and down Bearskin Neck at the twinkling of holiday lights! Rockport’s traditional Christmas tree will be aglow along with its distinctive shops dazzling us with the shimmer of lights and the sounds of Christmas music from within. With everyone in the holiday spirit, local shoppers and visitors alike will stroll together to support local businesses while enjoying an evening of great deals and holiday cheer!
Thank you!
Dawn Noble, La Provence
