I haven’t thought about Heine for a long time.
In the 1970s our family lived for three and a half years in Paris on a street named Rue Henri Heine.
The French must have thought highly of him to give him his own street.
Why is he so important?
Heine lived the last 25years of his life in Paris. His political radicalism was in tune with the French culture of the day.
