Hey Marty, that’s my old “hood.” I lived on Jamaica Street off Centre Street for ten years. Great neighborhood, even in bad old days!

When not in Gloucester I am in JP. Shopped Whole Foods last week– fish comes from Rockport. The changeover from Hi-Lo to Whole Foods was a big controversy here. The old HiLo had great photo ops: tropical packer’s jars of gumby people made from pickled vegetables, the mouse on the green peppers, the senior senors who hung out and dignified the entrance, the 50′s turquoise aluminum sign –
