Net floats. And they came in beautiful colors as I remember.
They used them to hold the scene nets up in a circle. Most were like brown coke bottles and then they used tin. My grand father Mike Frontiero used to bring me all this neat stuff.

Fishing float to hold up the nets.
The net floats are amazingly durable….I found them in use by Vietnamese fisherman.

They were put in a net bag then tied to larger fishing net to keep one edge of the net afloat while the other net dropped in the water column.
