How I wish I was there so I could bid too! The Sawyer Free Library was my refuge during my childhood and teen years in Gloucester. I remember walking from Central Grammar to the library after school and spending hours until closing, discovering and reading all kinds of books. At 12 I found “The Old Man and the Sea” and read it cover to cover in one day! I have a copy in my personal library, along with countless other books that have been my lifelong companions since first finding them at that wonderful library. Wish there was a catalogue for out-of-town buyers!

It’s hard to believe this is upon us again. It seems like just yesterday we were talking about last years’. The years are flying by here on GMG

Some of the best art bargains in Gloucester are at this auction. Peter Tysver, Ray Crane, Carol Loiacano, “our boy” Paul and many, many other fine painters.

  4. I forgot about it this year. I was too late to enter a painting. Bummer.
