Kayaks

After watching the Blackburn Challenge and being inspired by Paul Morrison, and the other contestants, Rick and I decided to buy two Kayaks.  We took them out today on Magnolia Beach and now we are hooked.  Great workout and lots of fun.

So inspired Donna–you are one amazing lady!!!

    • Kim: Thank you so much.. we had such a great time.. good for the duplaps.. upper arms.. my mother called them that name.. also for Rick and I to be out in the ocean.. so much fun… now need a camera that is waterproof.. hope to see you soon.. thank you again

  2. Donna and Rick, that is awesome. Those are great boats you have there that I imagine you’re going to be surfing the waves by the weekend. We have to freak out Joey and Frank by pulling up at the dock. We don’t have to tell him we put-in at Pavilion. The Essex River Race in May is only six miles. Piece of cake and great scenery.

Great minds think alike. Barbara and I bought ours today. I’m researching waterproof cameras. Olympus sells an inexpensive one that I’m checking out.

  4. E.J. says:

So now are you all going to kayak to mug ups!

    • That would actually be pretty awesome to add to the mug-up. We could go for a paddle from Pavilion, the Boulevard beach at 8AM then make it to MadFish Pier for the Mug-Up at 9AM. That would keep me from having two breakfasts before I have my third at MugUp which is what I have been doing.

I’m about to pull the trigger on a Go-Pro unless Marty tells me there is a better camera. (I would like to have easier controls.) Then we could get a Rubber Duck bow mount and we speed up the film and add Radar Love.

      Oh wait, open this:

then turn the sound off on the first video and crank the sound on the Radar Love. Oh boy I can tell I was not paddling right. Not using my lats, not turning my body. I’m getting better.
