We’re having a heat wave,
A tropical heat wave,
The temperature’s rising,
It isn’t surprising,
She certainly can-can.

First day of summer and first swim of the season! Last night we packed a picnic and went for a swim–the perfect antidote to a heat wave. Tonight, more of the same. We’re so fortunate to live in Gloucester, moments away from any number of beautiful beaches!

Beautiful photos– you sure captured the moment! Love the white heron and I think that’s us, with Joey and family on the Lannon, sailing in the background. We saw the elegant sunset, too! Agree– no finer place to live, summer or winter!
oops! thought it was a heron — sorry, Kim, but I don’t know the difference between an egret and a heron. . . am sure that you do tho — and I hope to learn. .. . great photos of the stillness of the sunset evening. .. .
just came back from the beach it was awesome
And it really does look like those beautiful photos here, and everywhere on Cape Ann.
Thank you Liz, Donna, and Fred–so amazing that we can go for a sunrise walk at Good Harbor and a sunset swim at Niles!! Yes Liz, same night–same elegant sunset!
