On April 29th. our Gloucester will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Pride Stride. It was my honor to write the First dedication poem. I submit last years for now . I am going to search my papers and see if I can find it. I am in the hopes that I can write the poem for the 25th.

Today we gather united with our Gloucester Pride
In awareness of the challenges we hold dear
The need to provide shelter for our animals to abide
Or the protection of children and families from want or fear
To raise the funds to keep families fed
Or just to put clothing on children’s backs
So many challenges of this walk of pride by children led
That we gather in Faith and Love to attack
We will now walk our Gloucester’s historic trail
Along our shore past the Captain of our seas
Walking back through the cities heart
Of the true Living and architectural heritage to see
Gloucester’s Pride exists in our hearts and souls
That on this day will be recorded in the book of time
In our Faith this pride will never become old
It is the inheritance from passed on wisdom in this challenge to find
