This is a beauty! Rocky Neck is just off the bow, where West Wharf is today.

  2. A high school bud (Falmouth 1973) thought it would be fun to go surfing over on the Vineyard and take one of the last rides on the Nobska. It was the last steamship ferry in service. I’m glad he thought of it. Living in Woods Hole I went to the islands many times but that was my only trip on the ferry.

I’m thrilled to discover this image: my great-grandfather Osborne Philip Linnekin was Captain of the ‘City of Gloucester.’ Thanks!!
