Donna and Chicadee

Donna Ardizonni wrote to say that several summer’s ago a Black-capped Chicadee hit her house window. The photo she sent is so sweet, I thought you all would like to see it as well.

  1. That is just the sweetest photo of Donna, and the chickadee looks like he’s singing and happy. Chickadees are such friendly and brave little birds. Go out with a handfull of sunflower seeds and they’ll land on your hand, eat and be your friend; but come out one time without some and they’ll scold you relentlessly. I hope he recovered and went free.

  2. Two huge smiles. Great photo. My grandpa Burt had five chickadees who would eat out of his hand. And with patience, they would come to my hand too. He named them all and they had distinct personalities. I can still remember their names. This one’s name should be “Happy”.

  3. The chicadee is the sweetest, bravest, and most friendly wee bird. I love them, and they make a great symbol for Donna!
