Joey, Since I consider you a great source of information,I would like your opinion. I am getting a new iPad with 3G, what carrier will give me the best connection in Gloucester (my home away from home) Verizon or AT&T. Thanking you in advance
Jane

Jane,
Do not buy an iPad right now. The iPad 3 with wicked retina resolution and a much faster processor will be out soon. Rumor has it March 6 announcement and buy it in the store a week after.
My advice when buying any Apple product is to go here: http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/ and see when the newest machine arrives. With the iPad, that is within a month.

Hey, thanks so much for advice.
Personally I have Verizon (for my iPad2) and it NEVER works in downtown Gloucester. However, I don’t know whether AT&T would work, either!
Thanks for your input, Paul my rationale was to wait for the iPad 3 to come out and hopefully the 2 would go down in price. Sarah are you serious no Verizon connection downtown, that’s a huge disappointment, hopefully someone with AT&T will chime in…
Same problem for my family with phones. Verizon does not work in the downtown area of Gloucester! I have a separate plan with AT&T for my ipad and am now curious to see if it works downtown. Will check to see if it works when I am downtown late this afternoon.
Just for complete and up to date info: The iPad3 will be announced this coming Wednesday March 7th. (I think I’ll bake a cake!) Delivery should be less than two weeks from then.
Retina Display, Much faster processor, better camera. It is likely they will still be selling the iPad2 as a separate model for sometime but at a cheaper price.
