From Marti Ciaramitaro Paul
This Carlo (born in 1880 is your Grandfather’s father – or, your great grandfather. I can’t verify Carlo’s death in Michigan, but there is a burial record for a Carlo Ciaramitaro on May 10, 1919. This is close to the information that appeared in wwww.wholesalelobster.com/history about Captain Joe and Sons.
Carlo’s name came from the marriage certificate of Giuseppe Ciaramitaro (Captain Joe) and Felicia Curcuru (Grandma Felicia). There are many Carlos and Giuseppes and it’s important to trace the right families.
The credit for the family tree goes to Peter Ciaramitaro of Port Huron, Michigan. This whole genealogy thing can get confusing. You’ll either get into it or roll your eyes, like my brother Charles (and he as a son Benjamin!) about all the old information. Digging up dead relatives isn’t for everyone.
I’ve added the basic information to the web site http://onofriociaramitaro.tribalpages.com The printed version is sometimes confusing and I find the web site easier to check on relationships. Marti

WOW! Our parents were “only children”, we chose to not have offspring, and that leaves the name progression at a complete stop. No wonder I love Italian families so much! xxoo
